Thursday P5 7CY1 Mr Thomas/Mr Abe

You need to write-up your Jam Butty algorithm in your CT Workbook.  It should be by way of a reply to this post and is due next lesson:

Example

Hi I have completed my Jam Butty algorithm.  You can see it in my CT Workbook:

    1. Melanie, this is a very detailed algorithm. However, it should have capital letters at the start of each sentence. Also, you need to use the words START and END as terminators. Please improve your algorithm.

    1. Adam, you need to do two things. 1. Look at you algorithm and identify the point at which it will crash. 2. Re-write your algorithm with capital letters at the start of each sentence, START andEND terminators and left justified text.

    1. This will not work as it has insufficient instructions. Re-write so that a user could successfully make a jam sandwich. Think back to the demonstration that I did.

  33. when you press the spacebar you jump so you know you have started. The man starts to run and then you get obstacles like poles, bigger poles, holes and bigger holes and a way to get over them is by pressing the spacebar. one press of the spacebar is on jump and two presses of the space r enough, same with the poles but instead of not jumping far enough its not jumping high enough.bar is double jump. The small poles and holes is one space bar and the bigger poles and holes is double space bar. The first level will be easy and the way to get to the next level is to get over all the obstacles and the next level will be harder and the next one will be harder and so on and so on and so on.you have 5 lives until you get to the 5 level when they are restored back up to 5.And then every 5th level after that. A way you can die is by falling down a hole by not jumping or not jumping far enough.

  36. At the start of my game there is a calculator and two boxes one big one one small one in a big red and orange box. Saying your name and what you are going to be when your older. The calculator is not a normal calculator. You type in your name and there are loads of different jobs for you. That are at random before you begin you type in your name there is a red flag that turns green. When it has turned green you press enter and the random jobs will go to the calculator and say what you are going to be when you are older. It is just a bit worker, a train driver, a racecar driver, or anyothers you can think of.The calculator is in the jungle just been left there for ages.

  42. my game
    the story behind my game
you go and chose a sprite of your choice
to jump over obstacles and collect coins
you need to chose wisely on what sprite you want to use
you start in a jungle scene
    there are obstacles lying around
like logs and bushes and holes
to start the game you press the green flag and the game begins
to move forward use the spacebar arrow
    spacebar = forward
to jump use the upward facing arrow
    up arrow = jump
to go sideways use left and right arrow keys
    left arrow = left
    right arrow = right
the obstacles will move from the left of the stage to the right
the sprite of your choice with your controls will navigate
from one side of the jungle to the other
the sprite will go left and right to collect coins
the obstacles will slow it down
the game will end in about 30 seconds
    then game end comes up
